does not have to be local. When hiring someone to produce a photomontage video
from your event, here are some questions that you should ask:
1.
Do you animate the photos on the screen or are they still?
Panning and zooming of photos,
while more work for someone to
produce, will make your video
more lively and interesting.
2. Is the montage digitally
edited?
Editing with a computer will
create videos that are more precise than
analog editing. Another advantage
to digital editing is that if there is a
problem with your video,
corrections are easy to make. On an analog
editor, one omitted photo would
require the entire project to be
produced again from scratch.
3. Can you put my montage on DVD?
If so, will the DVD have a customized menu?
DVD is a higher quality format
than VHS and will last for over one
hundred years. While the
photographs start to fade, a DVD will not
degrade over time. A customized
DVD menu adds interest.
How does this

Collect
the photos, and music (including those from friends and family) that you'd
like to incorporate into your DVD Memory. Organize them according to subject

expertise to do all the work. We can save you time, aggravation, and hassle.
Your photo slideshow will be provided to you on a DVD, to be viewed on a TV or
with a video projector.
A
typical Photomontage lasts from 5 to 15 minutes, and contains between 30 and
150 photographic images, 1 to 5 pieces of music, and a number of titles and/or
captions.
Normally,
the structure of the program is as follows:
A
title for the program, with music (usually the instrumental lead-in from the
first piece of music)
One
to five “chapters” – each covering a different theme or time period,
consisting of a chapter title, 20-25 photographic images, and a piece of music.
End
credit titles and/or a message (e.g. “with love from Cindy on your 50th
birthday”)

Word About Music
In
a Photomontage, the music is in many ways an equal partner with the
photographs in creating a special experience. We can incorporate popular music
from CDs, which you already own. If there’s a special song you’d like to
incorporate but you don’t own the CD, we can buy it for you (through a
reputable music download company such as I-tunes). We regret that, because of
our respect for copyright law and ethics, we cannot simply incorporate popular
music into your production other than from a song, which you own, or which we
buy on your behalf.
Sometimes
we’ll edit music to fit the number of photographs in a chapter or the ideal
length for a chapter (in most cases, a chapter should last from 2 to 3
minutes). Usually these edits cut material from the middle of a song in such a
way that the edits are not at all discernable. If you wish a song not to be
edited, you should specify that to us.
When
your program is complete, it will be delivered on DVD.
Preserve

Your pictures will be put on DVD with stunning transitions between

You
supply the pictures and choose the music. All pictures and DVD will be

to you.
